Rosa V. King, MA, LCPC is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over 6 years of therapy experience, 5 years of hospital/healthcare experience and over 10 years of case management. She has worked at a variety of hospitals completing crisis work, case management and career coaching services at for-profit and non-profit organizations and therapy services at community centers.
Rosa earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from The Illinois Institute of Art-Chicago in Interior Design and her Master of Arts in Community Counseling from Argosy University. Rosa is certified in horticultural therapy and is a certified fitness personal trainer. She has creative techniques to help clients cope with their symptoms and provide relief towards the mental and physical health concerns. She has a what, when and how approach when trying to unravel issues in order to find the triggers and learn the best way to alleviate stress and pressure from everyday life.
Rosa’s primary interests include anxiety, mood disorders, grief, trauma, etc. Therapy techniques include cognitive behavioral therapy, rational emotive behavioral therapy, person centered, solution focused therapy and holistic treatment. Provides individual, couples and family based treatment.
Rosa believes in providing support, guidance, compassion, direct feedback and reassurance that the client is not alone. Assisting clients with creating their own toolbox to feel their best and manage their stressors. Showing the clients, they are in a safe space and provide a unique experience for all.
In Rosa's personal time, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, thrill seeking adventures, exercising and going to the movies.
