Dawn is a Mental Health Professional working towards becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Dawn has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults from various backgrounds.
She has worked in a variety of mental health settings including private practice and community mental health as an outpatient therapist. Dawn received herMaster’s in Clinical Professional Psychology (Counseling Practice) from Roosevelt University and her Bachelors from Eastern Illinois University in Sociology. Dawn approaches the therapeutic relationship with genuineness, So her client will become more comfortable to share their story.
It is Dawn’s passion to help others find strength and courage they didn’t know they had, and to witness the personal transformation. Dawn’s priority is to make individuals feel comfortable and heard, and to collaboratively develop skills along the way. She provides a supportive environment for clients to explore and become educated on the tools needed to overcome life stressors.
Dawn’s primary interest include depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, improving self -esteem, emotion-regulation, social challenges, and family and relationship difficulties. Dawn encourages clients to gain a deeper understanding of their internal thoughts and develop healthy coping skills needed to pursue their life goals.
Dawn enjoys traveling, reading, exercising, and spending quality time with family and friends.
