Courtney Berry, MA, LPC is a licensed professional counselor with 3 years of therapy experience. Courtney has 5 years of clinical experience working in hospitals, community mental health, and nonprofit settings where she provided crisis work, case management, and therapy services. Courtney earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from The University of Illinois and her Master of Arts degree in clinical Psychology – Counseling Practice from Roosevelt University.
She believes in using a variety of treatment modalities including using trauma informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy,and family systems. Courtney’s primary areas of focus include working with children teens and young adults,childhood trauma, relationship issues, anxiety, and life changes. While also having experience dealing with parent child relationships, eating disorders, domestic violence, and sexual abuse.
Courtney believes in using therapy as a collaborative experience so that clients feel they have a comfortable and safe place to heal. Courtney’s style is direct and compassionate while providing guidance and feedback so that client’s feel empowered to utilize healthy coping skills to best manage their stressors and symptoms.
In her personal time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and trying new recipes.
